  1. RIDGECREST ELEMENTARY

  2. PURPOSE • The purpose of the Spanish Club is to promote the interest of Spanish language and culture. Activities include involvement of Spanish speaker students and Spanish Immersion students and celebration of cultural events amongst others. The club will meet in the morning at school once or twice a month in room 4-2. • Sponsor - Mrs. Costanzo How to be a member? The only qualification for membership is a desire to further one’s learning and understanding of Spanish speaking cultures and the Spanish language.

  3. ACTIVITIES • SPEAKING SPANISH ALL THE TIME • SPANISH GUESS SPEAKERS • CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER SPANISH CLUBS IN THE COUNTY • GAMES • SONGS • PROJECTS

  4. SPANISH MOVIES RELATED TO CORE VALUES. • CRAFT: HOW TO MAKE PIÑATAS • DANCE • DRAMA • WORD OF THE DAY ANOUNCED ON THE MORNING SHOW FROM ONE OF THE MEMBERS • WRITE ON THE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

  5. CREATE CULTURAL DISPLAYS ABOUT FAMOUS LATINOS DURING SPANISH HERITAGE MONTH (September 15 – October 15). • CELEBRATE «5 DE MAYO» AS A CLUB. • FLAG FACE PAINTING ON «FIESTA LEARNING CELEBRATION» • FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.

  6. OTHERS • There will be a form to record members. • There will be a plan of activities for each period. • Club Advertising • Etc.
