  1. “Halloween” Lessons 41-44 (Unit 1) 3rd Grade • Your teacher has asked you to write a composition about how you and your family get ready for Halloween. • Before you begin to write, think about how you decorate your home, what type of costume you will wear, and trick or treating. • Now write a descriptive paragraph about Halloween. • Your composition should have at least one paragraph. • Give details and enough information so your teacher will understand what happened. • Be sure to write clearly. • Check your writing for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. • Use transition words to show sequence. • Use a variety of descriptive words in your writing.
