  1. Careers By Christina Zhu

  2. Career #1Graphics Designer

  3. Graphic design is a type of art, that uses ‘creative elements’ which are symbols and just random curves and circles. It could be any shape or size. A graphic designer creates new symbols that will attract people that might be around it. For example, the lady and the child sign, which means that there are children around and that sign is put near schools and kinder gardens.

  4. Education for a graphics designer First, you’ll need a bachelor's degree. • Studio art • Principles of design • Computerized design • Printing techniques Are the few things you’ll learn about. Art, history, writing, psychology, foreign languages and cultural studies will be handy to be a better designer.

  5. Salary, Earnings whatever you like to call it When I searched up : graphic designer annual earnings, it came up with A LOT of information that I didn’t need. But most sites would say $0-80000 US and beyond per year.

  6. Career #2Pastry & Dessert Chef

  7. A Typical Pastry Chef A pastry chef works in restaurants, bistros, large hotels, casinos and bakeries. The pastry kitchen is normally separate from the main kitchen. The station chef or pastry chef, in a professional chef kitchen, are highly skilled in making desserts, pastries and many other baked delights. In the pastry kitchen, they often have other assistants to assist them.

  8. Qualifications You will need to complete an apprenticeship in baking or pastry cooking under the New Apprenticeship scheme to become a qualified baker or pastry chef. Currently 40% of those in the industry have certificate II or IV and 6% have certificate I or II.

  9. Responsibilities of a Pastry Chef • Meeting with other chefs and “paring up” entrees with desserts. • Testing and evaluate new pastry and dessert recipes. • Ordering supplies needed. • Preparing a budget for the pastry department. • Supervising the various apprentice and chefs in training in the pastry kitchen. • Providing training, education and even community classes on pastry and dessert making.

  10. Pinger Power! A normal pastry chef would earn around $60,000 US dollars a year, and it would be around $16 an hour for most new chefs.

  11. Career #3Architect

  12. What is an Architect? An architect is a licensed professional who organizes space. Architects design houses, office buildings, skyscrapers, landscapes, buildings used for the Olympics, the clock that looks weird in town, entire cities and the list just goes on!
