  4. An ETO at sea • Electrical and Electronic • Control Systems • Navigational Systems • Communications Systems • Safety • Project management

  6. Sea Phase • MNTB Training Record Book – Electro Technical • Additional tasks as required • A period of supervised training to acheive 9 months seatime • PST, PSSR, First aid, Fire fighting, GMDSS GOC courses will be completed before sea phase

  7. Employment Opportunities • The college has been approached by the maritime industry to run this course • The cruise ship industry in particular has a high demand for well trained ETO’s • No student has completed NMCI without a job.

  8. Life Style • Most shipping companies offer a good standard of living offering equal time on ship to time off • Salaries are comparible with professional employment, however the majority of seafarers are tax exempt. • Continuous professional development is encouraged within the industry. • Working within the shipping industry offers great opportunity for travel and employees can live anywhere in the world
