  1. Comment for IHRA or GTR regarding Legform Test ・ 217 ・ 926 ・ 553 578 494 25 INF GR/PS/108 @IHRA reports that test protocol should apply to the vehicle providing initial contact point to the leg form impactor at 513mm aboove the ground (at knee level) or below. @LFI cannot simulate behavior of human leg when transmitted load at higher position than the knee of the LFI, because LFI does not have upper body mass. (fromJARI report) I propose that “load path” should be used instead of “first contact point”. “Test protocol should apply to the vehicle providing load path to the leg form impactor at 513mm above the ground (at knee level) or below”

  2. BumperUpperRLH and BumperLowerRLH of Japan make Automobiles or @EU reg. has definition of high bumper vehicle as BLRLH>500mm. It limits to very small numbers of vehicle models.(Many of SUVs are not categorized to high bumper.) @There are many models with higher BURLH than knee position, 513mm. Such models have a possibility to have load path higher than knee position. @BURLH might be one of the appropriate dimensions defining the high bumper vehicle.

  3. Load Path and BURLH, BLRLH Distributed load path Lower load path Higher load path - Bumper external contour does not shows the position of load path. - It shows the probability where load path exists At present, I propose that “position of load path” should be used as a difinition of high bumper instead of “first contact point”. We need to consider and study more as regulatary use.
