Louisiana SIEC Policy and Planning Subcommittee Talkgroup Management Policy Proposed LWIN 09-004 • Ensures adequate talkgroups are available for all current and future Louisiana Wireless Information Network (LWIN) users. • Assigns new LWIN member agencies talkgroups by number of subscriber units in agency • Provides mechanism for additional talkgroups to be requested.

  3. Louisiana SIEC Policy and Planning Subcommittee System Access Policy Amendment • Ensures the security of the LWIN System • Requires system access security controls • Vendor neural language • “All subscriber equipment is required to utilize an Advanced System Key approved by the SIEC.”

Louisiana SIEC Policy and Planning Subcommittee Narrowbanding Options • Planning for the FCC mandated 6.25 KHz. efficiency of 700 Mhz. systems by 2017 including its effect on LWIN infrastructure and subscriber equipment. • Option 1: Create our own petition • Option 2: Sign on to Missouri’s Petition • Option 3: No action
