Senior Army Instructor – LTC (R) Nathaniel Flegler Army Instructor – SFC (R) Christopher Diaz South Gwinnett JROTC JROTC -- The Junior ROTC program prepares high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens. JROTC is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. It is a stimuli for promoting graduation from high school and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities which will benefit the student, community, and nation. Its focus is reflected in its mission statement, "To motivate young people to become better citizens."

  4. Lights! Camera! Action! Intro to Theatre Ms. Clay ~ D106 *Introduction to Theatre surveys theatre history, acting, and the technical skills involved in production. Students analyze and evaluate live theatre and explore the relationship between theatre and other art forms. *Students will learn the basics of performing including character development, voice projection, stage positions, & improvisation.

  5. Come Dance!!! South Dance Alliance Art In Motion South Dance Alliance is the dance elective offered at South Gwinnett H. S. Our resident dance company, Art in Motion performs at all major events, including Gwinnett County Dance Day, PTSA events and hosts their own student choreography concert. See Mrs. Collins for more information!!!

  6. B A N DTeacher – Jimmie McKinleyClassroom D105 INTERMEDIATE BAND Intermediate Band is a continuation level course for students with two or more years of previous band experience. Emphasis is on the advancement of instrument technique, rehearsal development of ensemble performance skills, and performance of intermediate level band music. BEGINNING BAND The Music Department offers specialized training to entering 9th grade students for the study and performance of quality music. Class activities emphasize the development of instrument technique, tone production, tuning, fundamentals of music theory, music reading, and listening skills. ADVANCED BAND Advanced Band is an upper-level performance opportunity for accomplished wind and percussion players. Advanced Band offers students great variety and challenge in musical performance, including experiences in chamber music, analysis, theory and history.
