IPA project “SEE Forum on Climate Change Adaptation”(Dec2010 - Nov 2012)has been jointly developed bythe Austrian, Croatian,Macedonian and Montenegro Red Cross, in cooperation withEnvironmental Improvement Centre, Red Cross/RedCrescent Climate Centre in the Hague, the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) and the Institute for EconomicPromotion of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Aim: Increasing awareness of humanitarian, social, economic, environmental and health impactsof climate change in the SEEregion and to foster joint initiatives of international, regional andnational stakeholders.

  3. 4 national networks have been formed, with total of 82 member organizations SEEFCCA was established in June 2012

  4. 5 CVA reports published – 4 national and regional synthesis report over 10 regional and 20 national trainings and meetings held

CROATIA • Participation in the Heat wave Early warning system development • Participation in National Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction • MACEDONIA • Participation in the Heat and Cold wave Early warning system development • MONTENEGRO • Invitation for participation in 2nd national communication development • Red Cross Secretary General took part in the UNFCCC COP 17 • SERBIA • Invitation for participation in 2nd national communication development • Participation in the development of the Environmental Protection Programme of the City of Belgrade / WG: Risk factors • Cooperation with National Assembly – future public hearings • All networks have developed Advocacy strategy for future activities.

  6. Implementation of the Advocacy strategy • Lobbying for CC issues to be inserted in national strategies and sectoral policies • 6 working groups established based on CVA priority areas • Plans for enlargement of the SEEFCCA on Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina • Inclusion of private and public companies • Project development • Knowledge exchange • Continuation of awareness raising with focus on vulnerable groups, youth, CSOs and stakeholders
