    18. Determining the Stuck Point The best way though is with a Freepoint tool. This is a wireline tool that is run inside the stuck pipe. Periodically (based on calculations) the pipe is stretched and rotated. The freepoint tool detects movement in the pipe. If there is no movement, the pipe is stuck. The deepest point where the freepoint tool detects movement is the freepoint
