### Geo CP 2-1 Day 2

If PT = 16, ET = 4x – 2 and EP = 6, what is x?

Postulate (Formula) PE + ET = PT

Substitute 6 + (4x - 2) = 16

Simplify 4x + 4 = 16

Solve 4x = 12

4x = 3

### Geo CP 2-1 Day 2

If A is the midpoint of GP and GA = 5x + 2

and AP = 2x + 11, then what is the length of GA?

Postulate (Formula) GA = AP

Substitute 5x + 2 = 2x + 11

Simplify

Solve 3x + 2 = 11

3x = 9
