Research! • Invest time in the process… • Set realistic goals! • You require six gr12 4U1 and/or 4M1 courses • ENG4U… plus 5 additional grade 12 courses • Pre-requisite courses for many university programs are often included in “top six”

CONSENT FOR DISCLOSURE • "There will be a one-time release of grades and other identifying information for all students in Grade 12 in early November using secure transmission technology to the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) and the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS), in support and in anticipation of all post secondary applications. If you would like more information about this or you have any concerns, please contact your assigned guidance counsellor."

TheApplication Process … • You may apply to a maximum of 3 programs at any one university • Note: University of Toronto has 3 campuses (St.George’s, Scarborough & Mississauga) …. most students will be limited to one choice per campus @ UT • Deadline: January 14, 2015 • Last year’s fees: $130 for first 3 programs + $44 per additional program • On-line Applications at www.ouac.on.ca/101/ beginning in November, after PIN distribution at next assembly

Timelinefor Data Transmissions • Nov 2014 Marks for completed Gr. 11/12 courses & current Gr. 12 course codes sent to OUAC to generate PIN • Jan 14, 2015  Application Deadline • Feb 2015  Midterm Feb marks sent to OUAC • April 2015 Interim April marks sent to OUAC • June 1, 2015  Deadline to accept an offer of admission • July 2015  Final marks sent to OUAC

University Liaison DayTuesday October 21, 2014 • All grade 12 university-bound students are expected to attend the full day program on October 21th • Go to period 1, then for the rest of the day … • Attend liaison presentations by 5 universities • Bring your lunch!! • Marketplace in the cafetorium for the University Fair @ 1:45pm (30 schools so far!!) • To register, hand in your registration form this week…ASAP
