Objective Action Performance Indicator Lead Person Priority Start Date End Date Adult Sections to have access to appropriate coaching.(Including 3rd, 4th and 5th teams) Assess appropriate needs of clubs by developing Coach Development Plans Complete CCDP for 10 Clubs in Lancashire CDO / RDO / CCC 1 Sep-08 Jun-09 During CCDP identify coach candidates:Players close to retirementLower team captains Number of Club coaches attending coaching courses. CDO / CCC 1 Promote Level 1 to Level 2 CPD courses (Not just for coaches who want a level 2 but for coaches CPD) Number of Club coaches attending coaching courses. CDO / Coaching Sub / CCC 2 Jul-08 Jun-09 Youth Section to have 1:10 ratio active qualified coach / player. Assess appropriate needs of clubs by developing Coach Development Plans Complete CCDP for 10 Clubs in Lancashire CDO / RDO / CCC 2 Jul-08 Jun-09 Target unqualified coaches currently coaching Youth Rugby, communicate through CCC network and meetings. Run Foundation Courses for targeted coaches. Number of Club coaches attending coaching courses. CDO / CCC 2 Promote Level 1 to Level 2 CPD courses (Not just for coaches who want a level 2 but for coaches CPD) Number of Club coaches attending coaching courses. Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) SCHOOL of RUGBY SoR Age Group County XVs District Development Teams CB Coaching Programme Statistics • ~ 600 players in Lancashire Player pathway from District to SoR • 84 Coaches in Lancashire CB Coach System • 17 Teachers • 13 CRCs • ~ Ratio of 1 coach per 8 players • With few exceptions each team has 4 Coaches • New addition to Lancashire U18 / U17 Development Group – James Bramhall Backs Coach (level 2 Coach ex Manchester 1st X). Known Problems • N Lancs U16s need 2 coaches • Lancashire U14 group

Deliver CPD for CE and Trainers on an annual basis Support 1 x CE CPD &1 xTrainer CPD event CDO 1 Sep-08 Jul-09 CB Coaching Programme Conferences: • October Conference cancelled due to changes in CDO • January 2009 Conference planned: • Brian Ashton as headline presenter • Tosh Askew invited and waiting confirmation • Aiming at 160 – 200 delegates • With CB support would like to invite County / SoR / District Coaches to the event. • CRC invited as CPD (paid for by RDO) Tutor CPD: • 3 new Trainers at recent Trainer training event • 3 new Coach educators at recent CE Training. Now co-delivering course. • 3 National CPD events for Trainers and CEs
