We found out… • Compost includes vegetable and fruit scraps, old newspapers, garden pruning and grass clippings. • Compost and soil are full of living things. • There are a lot more microorganisms living in a teaspoonful of soil than there are people on our planet • Half of the food scraps we throw away into the rubbish bin is food and garden vegetation
