  2. Word Count Goals Who?Everyone: K-6th What?Reading goals for number of words you read Where?To find word count for specific books, go to AR Bookfinder. To find YOUR total word count, go to HomeConnect. When?When you read a book and take an AR quiz Why?Word count is a common language that all readers can understand.

  3. How to find Word Count For a book’s Word Count… Go to Jacobson Website, Library, Accelerated Reading, then click on AR Bookfinder. Remember to click on title of the book after you type it in to see word count. For YOUR total Word Count… Go to Jacobson Website, Library, Accelerated Reading, then click on HomeConnect. Remember to click on title of the book after you type it in to see word count. These two links are also found by clicking on the “Side Shortcuts” on our Jacobson Homepage.

  4. School Wide Goals Keep track of your word count for… Dog Tags Millionaire & Multi-Millionaire Club

Millionaire & Multi-Millionaire Club If you read 1 million words… • Your name will be announced to come have your picture taken and posted on Millionaire Club Board in Library • You get choice of money-scented bookmark or pencil • Extra book checkouts • Priority on book holds • You are automatically invited to Movie Field Trip at end of the year **NEW THIS YEAR...if you are a "Multi-millionaire" and reach millionaire status twice in a year, your name will be displayed on the school marquee!

  6. Dog Tags • 8 levels:Blue, Red, Orange, Green, Black, Purple, Silver, Gold This is a sample of the Dog Tag. All Dog Tags are laser-engraved on each color.
