Challenges to date • volume of literature, resources etc • much exists in many places • awareness vs overload • Audience for materials, guidance etc • mostly IM/DM professionals not researchers • Qualitative data sharing & use • epistemological, methodological, ethical, confidentiality issues & debate

Implications for future activity • a RDM portal? • training / engaging researchers in RDM • a lot of focus on long-term preservation & sharing • begin with the day-to-day improvement • better short term RDM will improve longer term • dissemination • RDMTrain session at Vitae Researcher Development Conference Sep 2011?
