  2. You will need to back up all files on your computer • Your desktop • My Documents • Pictures • Music • Video • Word, notebook files, spreadsheets, etc. • Internet shortcuts. Don’t forget to remove discs and flash drives!!.

  3. Back up your desktop 1st Double-click on my computer 3rd Double-click on Documents and Settings 2nd Double-click on Local Disk C: 4th Double-click on your name 6th. Right click and choose copy. 5th. Click on Desktop

  4. Back up your desktop (Cont) 7th Go back to my computer and double-click on my computer 9th: Right click on a blank sopt and choose paste. 8th Double click on your folder Done: your desktop is copied over.

  5. Back up your documents 1st Double-click on my computer 3rd Double-click on Documents and Settings 2nd Double-click on Local Disk C: 4th Double-click on your name 7th. Right click and choose copy. 5th. Click on My documents

  7. Back up your Favorites 1st On the file menu choose Import and export 3rd: Choose Favorites. Then click on next. (Only choose feeds if you use them.) 2nd: Choose export to a file. Then click on next 4th: Go with the default choice unless you saved them elsewhere.

  8. Back up your favorites (Cont) 6th: Click on the drop down arrow by my documents. Choose your folder. 5th: Click on browse. Last: Click on save. This will save a file called bookmark.htm on your m: drive You can import this when you are upgraded..
