  4. Dangers of Technology • Online Predators • Sexting • Posting, sharing, or viewing inappropriate content • (These are Felonies) • Cyber Bullying • Creating a Negative Digital Footprint • What an individual would find if they search your students name • Social Networking

  5. Social Network Platforms • Facebook • Instagram • Snapchat • Twitter • Texting Apps – Ask.fm, Kik

What our school has been doing? • Fantasy Academics (Academic Advisors) • Cyber Safety Topic • Social Networking Topic • Creating a Digital Footprint We have informed and discussed with students the benefits and dangers of tech platforms for information and communication both positive and negative.

  7. What can you do? • As a Parent, be Vigilant. Know what your child is posting, texting, videoing, etc. • At random, ask to see your child’s phone. If they have nothing to hide, they should hand it over freely. • Ask about inappropriate pics/texts/posts that have been going around. Stay abreast of the situation going on in your child's world.
