Instrument Commissioning • ISSUES • FGM (at 2m) sees bus currents at spin tone/harmonics • Developing software solution: tone removal • Worst case effect: 0.2nT inaccuracy (does not affect science) • SCM (at 1m) also sees bus currents at spin tone/harmonics • Developing software solution: tone removal • Worst case effect: Limit use above 10Hz (use FGM below 10Hz) • SCM sees noise from BAU/IDPUat 8Hz/32Hz and harmonics • Solution demonstrated • Routine implementation ongoing
