  • Recognize the seasonality of cut flowers used in floral designs

  • Flowers and foliage can be classified according to their shapes and forms

  • Each shape serves a specific purpose

  • Designers must be able to recognize the plant shapes and forms to solve many design problems

  • Four Classifications

    • Line, form, mass and filler

  • Line flowers:

    • Used to create an outline of a design

  • Almost serve as a skeleton

  • Include tall, erect spikes of blossoms with florets blooming along the stem

  • Add height and width to an arrangement
