Career Exposure Program

STRATEGIC PLAN 2011-2012

Helping students obtain pre-professional experience and readiness for the real work force, enhancing leadership and networking skills.


Vision

VISION

  • Have students gain pre-professional experience before graduating.

  • Allow students that have not had the opportunity to go to internships or co-ops to volunteer and gain experience, leadership and networking skills.

VISION

  • Have the engineering students volunteer at least one day a week for 5 hours. (Company Discretion)

  • Nominations/Selections will be based on merit system


Short term goals

SHORT TERM GOALS

  • 6 departments within the college.

  • Have a minimum of 3 companies per department.

  • Benefiting (90-180 students) per semester

  • Have a list of participating companies

    by 08/15/2011

SHORT TERM GOALS

  • Promote applications/nominations and program for a month.

  • Application deadline: 09/23/2011

  • Begin 8 week program within the fall 2011 semester.

  • First week: October 1st -7th

  • Ending Period: December 1st -3rd

LONG TERM GOALS

  • Establish a long-term relationship program with local companies.

  • Engineering College & UTEP Community known for constant participation and volunteering in this program.

  • Establish program for all colleges.

  • Sponsorship
