  1. The Chroniclesof the Tomatoes

  2. Chapter I Once upon a time, on a group of islands far far away, animals and plants lived together in harmony. The most colorful of them all were the tomatoes. Yellow and orange, they beamed in the forest.

  3. Especially the tortoises really liked the tomatoes.

  4. One day, a ship stopped at the islands and a man came ashore. His name was Charles and he was very interested in all the different animals and plants. Some of the tomatoes decided to go with him.

  5. Years later, more people came to the islands. They stayed there and built houses. They brought other tomatoes to their new home.

  6. These tomatoes were much bigger and brighter red. And they took up a lot of space fast.

  7. Chapter II The red tomatoes were everywhere. In the forest, along the road, and even on the landfill!

  8. Everyone seemed to like the big red tomatoes better than the island tomatoes. And there were much fewer tortoises around these days.

  9. It was getting difficult for the island tomatoes to find each other. Family members disappeared.

  10. It was getting very lonely.

  11. Chapter III One day, a lady came to visit. Her name was Sarah, and she was very interested in the island tomatoes.

  12. Charles had been her great-great grandfather and now she wanted to get to know the tomatoes he had seen.

  13. The island tomatoes knew some secret tricks, like how to survive longer without water. There were lots of other tomato families out there, and if they could also learn these tricks, they could live better.

  14. The island tomatoes are veryimportant. And now they need your help!
