His life “who” • MacArthur was born in a army base near little rock ,Arkansas • He was son of one of the greatest general Arthur MacArthur • Some great things he has gone in his life was graduated first in the class at west point , and help a deal in world war two • He help gather up veterans for ww1 away from Washington those people were called the bonus army

  3. What did MacArthur do ? • Well MacArthur was a very important men he was first settling in the Philippine island where he live with his family he was also the general of the Philippines by Roosevelt’s command • MacArthur tried to modernize the islands national defenses it was hard with no money or supply but MacArthur tried • He was also appointment the commander of the pacific area this where what he did comes to place • He was not ready for the Japanese to attack so he try to fight them of f but was then sent austraila

  4. what else did he do? • When he got to Australia him and he ‘s family really didn’t want to be there but they had to. • So in the summer of 1942 the fighting in the pacific became all over the Japan naval and air force base called Rabaul in the Soloman islands • On Aug.7 th the allies land in guadalcanal where MacArthur and his army fought many battles • This where he got his strategy involving amphibious landings on vulnerable islands therefore bypassing the Japanese troops and concentration on fortified islands • This would reduce the number of American deaths by avoiding the frontal assaults.

  5. Where did some of these battles happen • One of Macarthur biggest battle he fought was in the Guadalcanal • Also he help fight in other • smaller battles like Coral • sea , midway

  6. When all this happen? • There is a lot of different dates most of them happen from 1940 to 1945 • This years are very important this is the years of the war

Why didn’t MacArthur stay in the Philippines • This question is the most common question people will ask now I will tell you why. • Why he left was not on choice but on an order from President Roosevelt . • Roosevelt thought to himself if he was to die then they would have lost a men that could have ended this war. • And guess what he did help end the war by being there in the pacific and doing his job

How did he accomplish everything he did? • How he did what he did like help defeat the Japanese is he was brave and had great americans fighting with him. • He was a great men and how he came up with that great plan to attack the weaker islands was brilliant and that help defeat japan. • Also he said that great saying I shall return and he did and that made everything better.
