Improve completion (access and graduation) • Complete College Georgia • Focus on system policy and handbooks • Establish issue priority • Transparent process for review • Recommendations for : • Addressing unintentional barriers to college completion • The various methods for USG students to address their RHSC deficiencies • Areas of USG policy and procedure regarding RHSC that should be clarified? • Recommendations need to be submitted by April 25, 2014 Charge and Scope

  5. USG staff will provide research assistance as needed. • Potential research services available and include: • Data gathering • Preliminary evaluation • Policy analysis • State comparisons • Consultation with national partners • Collecting recent academic research Support and Resources

  6. Develop Standard Criteria to Assess Potential Policy Changes: • Impact on Completion • Distribution and Equity • Implementation Feasibility • Implications and Risks • Others? Establish Review Process

A SUGGESTED PROCESS FOR REVIEWING EACH SPECIFIC POLICY OR AREA: (1) Further define the underlying issue and gather research if needed (2) Determine options that address underlying issue (3) Assess options using standard review criteria (4) Decide and draft a recommendation Establish Review Process
