  2. Why dress for success? • The initial impression you make on a potential employer is the most important one! • The first judgment an interviewer makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are wearing. • It's always important to dress professionally for a job interview, even if the work environment is casual.

  4. Women’s Interview Attire • Suit (navy, black or dark grey) • The suit skirt should be long enough so you can sit down comfortably • Coordinated blouse • Conservative shoes • Limited jewelry (no dangling earrings or arms full of bracelets) • No jewelry is better than cheap jewelry • Professional hairstyle • Neutral pantyhose • Light make-up and perfume • Neatly manicured clean nails • Portfolio or briefcase

  12. What the employers say… • "Dress how you want people to perceive you because it plays a huge role in how you are initially treated," advises Desiree Devaney, a financial analyst with GE Capital Credit. "Perfectly groomed means efficient and reliable in work; unkempt means disorganized and therefore difficult to trust with different assignments. After awhile, people realize these things do not necessarily correspond, but initially, your looks and dress are your representation to them."
