  2. Introduction Edward Elgar Publishing is an international academic publisher founded in 1986 by Edward Elgar. An independent, family-run company which is now managed by Edward Elgar's (now chairman) two son-in-laws. The company is headquartered in the UK with two UK offices and a US office, in Northampton MA. We have over 5,000 titles in print and publish over 350 new books a year. • We won the Frankfurt Book Fair Academic & Professional Publisher of the Year award in 2013. • We have recently been nominated for the Booksellers’ Independent Academic, Educational and Professional Publisher of the Year for the second year running.

International Markets • We sell to libraries all over the World through local booksellers, distributors and agents. • Our largest markets are the US, UK, Germany, China and Japan. • We make regular sales trips to these regions and also to developing markets and attend major academic conferences, book fairs and library events all over the World.

  4. The Books we publish We publish scholarly monographs, Research Handbooks, major reference works, upper level textbooks and Advanced Introductions. Our book lists covers many subjects including Economics, Development Studies, Law, Business and Management, Public Policy, Environment, Innovation, Social Policy, Human Rights and many more.
