System. What is a system?. Very roughly we can say that the System is the way that Politics works A system functions and the system is how politics functions in that system, and it is a way of comparing one system with another.

Very roughly we can say that the System is the way that Politicsworks • A system functions and the system is how politics functionsin that system, and it is a way of comparing one system with another. • At one level we have the Philosophy of the state, and the system is the practice of that philosophy within the framework of a functioning state. Systems and Politics

  3. “A set of interacting or interdependent entities forming an integrated whole.” is the most basic definition. • Most systems share common characteristics, including: • Systems have structure, defined by parts and their composition; • Systems have behavior, which involves inputs, processing and outputs of material, energy or information; • Systems have interconnectivity: the various parts of a system have functional as well as structural relationships between each other. • System(s) have by itself function(s) or group of functions A Definition.

  4. A political system is a system of politics and government. It is usually compared to the legal system, economic system, cultural system, and other social systems. It is different from them, and can be generally defined on a spectrum from left, e.g. communism, to the right, e.g. fascism. However, this is a very simplified view of a much more complex system of categories involving the views: who should have authority, how religious questions should be handled, and what the government's influence on its people and economy should be. Monarchies are one of the oldest political systems known, developing from tribal structure with one person the absolute ruler. • Meritocracy • Technocracy • Republic. The first recorded Republic was in India in the 6th century BC. • Sultanates. an Islamic political structure combining aspects of Monarchy and Theocracy. • Islamic Democracy. an Islamic and democratic political structure, which combines aspects of Theocracy (as the framework) and Democracy (as the decision making method under Islam's ethical system).
