  3. 1. What is Numix? Numix is specially made to: Suit Car Refinish System Designed to give a wide variety of color combinations that enables to obtain all car colors known in the world of different brands through a specially designed software. It can also give Ral and BS colors. Consists of two systems: Top Coat 2K (35 colors ), Base Coat 1K ( 70 colors)

  4. A- Top Coat 2K Is a high quality medium solid acrylic paint for car repair industry. Two-pack system (Acrylic hydroxide cross linking with Isocyanate) . Topcoat system for passenger cars and commercial vehicles in solid colors. Simple, fast and durable ( keeps original color and gloss for years ). Color Standard : 35 colors ( 30 solid color + 4 metallic + 1 matting Agent) NOTE : 1. See color list on page ( ) 2. See Top coat technical data sheet on page ( )

  5. B- Base Coat 1K It is an air-drying basecoat system one-pack ( Hybrid compound of acrylic Hydroxide, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate & Melamine formaldehyde- self curing). Special colors such as metallic and pearls have been introduced. Can be used to repair all two-coat car colors, including modern pearls More than 75% of new cars are painted in two-coat paint systems, consisting of a basecoat and clear coat. Color Standard : 70 colors ( 34 solid color + 9 metallic + 23 pearl + 2 effect color + 2 lacquer ) 1. See color list on page ( ). 2. See Top coat technical data sheet on page ( ).

  7. A- Types Of Surface substrates: A- Steel B- Galvanize (Zinc-Coated Steel ) C- Aluminum D- Stainless Steel E- Plastic ( bumpers, Spoilers ) F- Existing Finish

  8. - Use Two rags of cloth, one to wet substrate & the other one to remove the residue - Degrease with National Cleaner B- Degreasing & Cleaning :

  9. Primer Surfaces: Dry flat with p320 – p 500 sandpaper (3M 255P Gold) or wet flat with p500-p1000 sandpaper ( 3M 734 Black). For Spot Repair Area: Dry flat with p400 – p 500 sandpaper (3M 255P Gold) or wet flat with P800-p1000 sandpaper ( 3M 734 Black). • Note : • 1. See color list on page ( ) 2.   10. C- Sanding : Existing finishes: Dry flat with p220- p320 sandpaper (3M 255P Gold) or wet flat with p400 sandpaper (3M 734 Black). Polyester putty: Dry flat with p120 - p220 sandpaper (3M 255P Gold) or wet flat with p220 - p320 sandpaper ( 3M 734 Black ). Bare steel surface: Degrease and abrade with p120 – p220 sandpaper (3M 734 Black).

  11. D- Foundations : 1- Numix Adhesion Promoter Polyolefin resins For Plastic car body parts Mixing Ratio : Ready to use 2.5 - 5 Microns dry film thickness

  12. Mixing Ratio Mix 1:1 with National Etching Adhesion Activator Ready to spray Drying Time 30 min 20°C Overcoat with Numix 2K Filler 2- Wash Primer 2K For Galvanize (Zinc-coated steel), Aluminum & Stainless Steel substrate Pot life : 8 hours

Mixing Ratio Mix 4:1 with Numix Hardener MS 25-30% Numix Thinner 2K 3- Numix 2K Primer Acrylic Hydroxide cross linking with Isocyanate For existing finish, wash primer, polyester putties & bare steel surface. Pot life : 2 hours 120-140 microns dry film thickness Spray viscosity 18-20 s/DIN 4mm/20°C Air dry overnight/20°C or 30 min /60°C panel temperature Wet Sand with P500-P1000 Over coat : Numix Top Coat or Base Coat

Mixing Ratio Mix with 30-35% Numix Thinner 2K Spray viscosity 18-20s/DIN 4mm/20°C Air Dry ~30-60 min /20°C depending on film thickness Wet Sand with P600-P800 Overcoat Numix Basecoat or Topcoat 4- Numix 1K Primer Acrylic Base For existing finish, wash primer, polyester putties & bare steel surface.

Mixing Ratio Mix with 2-3% Hardener paste Apply Stopper Air Dry 15-20 min/20°C Sand Paper Coarse Sand P80-P120 Fine Sand P180-P240 Overcoat Numix Primers 5- Polyester Putty 2K component paste, based on polyester resin cross linking with peroxide hardener. Pot life: 5-10 minutes Used to fill the deep gaps,scratches & dents in the metal. 100-500 microns dry film thickness.

Surface Primer 1K or 2K one single coat Top Coat 2K Preparation : P400/P500(dry) P800/P1000(Wet) Mixing Ratio : 100:50:30 Application : 2 single Coats Drying Time : 30minutes 60ºC Primer 2K Preparation : P320-P500(Dry) Mixing Ratio : 4:1 Application : 2 single Coats Drying Time : 24 hours 20ºC Primer 1K Preparation p 320 p 500 dry mixing ratio : 3:1 thinner Application : 2 single coats Drying time : 24 hours 20 c OR Base Coat 1K Preparation : P400/P500(Dry) P800/P1000(Wet) Mixing Ratio : 100:100 Application :2-3 single Coats Drying Time : 15-20 min . 20ºC Top or Time Putty Preparation : P120/P220 (Dry) Mixing Ratio : 100 : Drying Time : 15 min.20ºC. Clear Coat HS Mixing Ratio : ????? Application : 2 single Coats Drying Time : ?????? Clear Coat 2K Mixing Ratio : 100:50:30 Application : 2 single Coats Drying Time : 30 mint. 60ºC OR

  17. Tools & Equipments Examples of recommended • Sata RP = 1,2 mm - 1,3 mm nozzle • Sata HVLP 2000= WSB nozzle • De Vilbiss GTI / cup 110= 1,2 - 1,3 mm nozzle

  18. Spray Guns • HVLP or conventional guns are suitable • Stainless Steel fluidneedles required • Recommended HVLP guns SATA Jet / NR95 / NR2000 Devilbiss JGA / GTI
