  4. Section 1 Questions… • Who were the major players in the Cuban Missile Crisis? • Russian Premier Nikita Kruschchev • US President John F. Kennedy • Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro • Why was the Soviet Union upset? • The US had placed nuclear missiles in Turkey, next to the Soviet Union. • What did the Soviet Union do? • Place nuclear missiles in Cuba, pointed at the US.
