  2. In the Beginning…

  3. What Are We All About? At Chantilly Montessori our vision isto be a collaborative and supportive environment that realizes excellence and growth in student achievement by meeting the needs of the whole child. We nurture peaceful relationships through respect, social awareness, and community building. Students and adults are committed to environmental stewardship, interdisciplinary integration, increased use of technology and continued Montessori educational for all. • We will work actively to be an environmentally conscientious school. Best of all, the Chantilly PTO/SLT also works to successfully align resources with student needs, creating opportunities for effective collaboration among parents, staff and our community to serve our school mission and vision.

  4. Classroom Gardens…

  5. Field to Fork… Congratulations to Ms. Christina Roth’s Class for being chosen for the Fuel Pizza Field to Fork Program! The Fuel Pizza Cafe Field to Fork Program is a 6 month partnership with CMS elementary classes to learn about gardening, nutrition, and healthy cooking. Only one classroom per school could apply for the program and only 14 classrooms in CMS were chosen.

  6. The Giving Seed… The Giving Seed awarded this Chantilly picture “Picture of the Month” for January. The picture will be featured on their website, and Chantilly Montessori will receive a check for $50 to be used to continue our fantastic garden projects! Featured in this picture are Evelyn Beacham and Queen Aria Morrow from Ms. Jackie’s class. The class harvested 10 pounds of greens for the Giving Seed to donate to locate food banks. Special thanks to Norma Spurlock, Ms. Jackie’s garden parent, for all of her hard work this year!
