  1. Animal Extinction Every organism and species has the right to live in a harmonious and safe world, hence nobody has authority to take away others’ lives. Unfortunately, almost thousands or millions of animals are being killed and facing extinction nowadays. Made by: Your name/ group members

  2. Contents and group contribution. Marine threat: Presented by member 1 Bear Habitat destruction: Presented by member 2 Carnivorous beasts endangered?!: Presented by member 3 Birds draw too close… : Presented by member 4

  3. Marine threat Our ecosystem is in danger. Fish, corals, octopuses, turtles, and even whales are dying. One may ask why: humans. Humans are wiping out multiple ecosystems on a daily basis. If this atrocious rate of marine life genocide continues, the human race probably won’t be able to have fish on their dinner plates in approximately a hundred years. The water is murky, and life is fading away. Several factors act as a cause for this catastrophe….

  4. 1.Blue whale Wonder how the biggest mammal and animal has reached the stage of being endangered by us humans

  5. Star fish From the biggest blue whale to this little starfish. Humans are destroying so many creatures that the list goes on and on..

  6. Bear Habitat destruction Many bear habitats are destroyed and are taken advantage of, while the bear population decreases further more….

  7. Giant panda

  8. Polar bears Vulnerable species (almost endangered) as the population has continued to decrease. Polar bears are at the top of the food chain and have an important role in the overall health of the marine environment. Over thousands of years, polar bears have also been an important part of the cultures and economies of Arctic peoples. Polar bears depend on sea ice for their existence and are directly impacted by climate change—serving as an important indicator species.

  9. Carnivorous beasts endangered

  10. Sumatran tiger The Sumatran tiger is a Pantheratigrissondaica population in the Indonesian island of Sumatra. This population was listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List in 2008, as it was estimated at 441 to 679 individuals, with no subpopulation larger than 50 individuals and a declining trend.

  11. Amur Leopard The Amur leopard is a leopard subspecies native to the Primorye region of southeastern Russia and northern China. It is listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. In 2007, only 19–26 wild leopards were estimated to survive in southeastern Russia and northeastern China.

  12. Birds draw too close… to the pit of extinction

  13. Piping plover The piping plover is a small sand-colored, sparrow-sized shorebird that nests and feeds along coastal sand and gravel beaches in North America. The adult has yellow-orange legs, a black band across the forehead from eye to eye, and a black stripe running along the breast line.

  14. Golden-winged warbler The golden-winged warbler is a New World warbler. It breeds in southeastern and south-central Canada and the Appalachian Mountains northeastern to north-central United States. The majority of the global population breeds in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Manitoba.

  15. Solution and suggestions Note: Raise hand if any other suggestions regarding the solution of extinction.

  16. Solution to marine threat Sitting facilities on land where water can be controlled or treated and escapes minimized would go far. Salmon farms should be eliminated from British Columbia and there should be a freeze on new salmon farms at least within the range of wild salmon. There is wide latitude for improving shrimp and fish farming. Farmed fish diets that do not use fish are a major step. Sewage management would minimize nutrient runoff, but is costly. Restrictions on fertilizer use could also minimize nutrient runoff. The best remaining reefs are those with the most grazing fishes. Even if we do all the right things, actually reversing warming and acidification will not kick in for decades or centuries. To help ensure something is left, herbivorous fishes should be strictly protected. Right now they are widely eaten. The root problem is the same carbon dioxide emissions from the same fossil fuels. Declining ocean productivity must be addressed by controlling carbon fuels and toxic chemicals.A new era of engineering materials that perform like plastic, with lifetimes scaled to their use, and that are truly biodegradable are needed to replace modern petroleum-based plastics completely. Global fish populations are rapidly being depleted due to demand, loss of habitat, and unsustainable fishing practices. When shopping or dining out, help reduce the demand for overexploited species by choosing seafood that is both healthful and sustainable.

  17. Bear Habitat Destruction: The solution As for the polar bears, they spend most of their time on floating sheets of sea ice hunting for their favorite food, seals. But as the Arctic has warmed in recent years, the ice is melting earlier. This gives the bears less time to hunt. So some bears might not be able to build up the fat they need to survive the rest of the year.  As for the polar bears, they spend most of their time on floating sheets of sea ice hunting for their favorite food, seals. But as the Arctic has warmed in recent years, the ice is melting earlier. This gives the bears less time to hunt. So some bears might not be able to build up the fat they need to survive the rest of the year.  We can all contribute to reducing climate change, and therefore help polar bears and other endangered species. A significant cause of climate change is the emission of polluting gases from burning fossil fuels, such as coal and oil. Fossil fuels are burned when we use electricity or drive our cars, among other things. Here are just a few important things we can do to help reduce global warming: Use our cars less (walk or take public transport whenever possible) Use energy efficient light bulbs (these are available in most household stores — encourage your parents and teachers to buy them!) Recycle more and avoid products that have lots of packaging. Turn off electric devices when you're not using them.

  18. But times have changed and now the big cat is in real trouble due to: Great increases in human population in the Terich valley and unemployment. Over- use and cutting of trees in the wild life habitats, for use as fire wood due to extreme cold and windy winters.  The growth of human population is in close proximity to the largest glaciers of the region with no other source of energy available. Easy access by people to weapons for hunting. Absence of recreational facilities for young men who turn to sport hunting and cause damage to all wildlife. So we should avoid this and : 1.Prohibit hunting. 2.Reserve habitats 3.Grow more trees 4.Illegalise population over some areas.
