  6. “Reaction to God’s revelation that triggers shame and guilt is the creation of fictionalized natural history and man’s relationship to nature (an inversion of the true creation design). The result is direct suppression of God’s attributes…and thus, even if saved, a compromised mind rendered incapable of a genuine personal relationship with the Lord—no praise, no acknowledgement of sin, no thanksgiving, and no confidence to make serious supplication.” From 2016 NSBC Labor Day Conference notes, “Keeping Faith to Our Lord in an Increasing Hostile Culture” by Charles Clough, pg 4 (emphasis his)

  7. “THEREFORE my personal identity is discovered as I learn about the image of God that makes me qualitatively different from animals, about His binary sexual design of man, my unique strengths and weaknesses from conception, and how my flesh—sin nature—works. And from my regeneration at believing in Christ alone I discover the spiritual assets I have in Him. My identity is what God reveals in His objective Word over and above my own interpretations of my personal feelings and experiences—not the romantic notion that I must not rely upon any external aids to discovering my identity.” From 2016 NSBC Labor Day Conference notes, “Keeping Faith to Our Lord in an Increasing Hostile Culture” by Charles Clough, pg 6 (emphasis his)

  9. Lewis Sperry Chafer (1871-1952) founded and served as the first president of Dallas Theological Seminary, and was an influential proponent of Christian Dispensationalism in the early 20th century. Characteristics of the Features of the Believer’s Position in Christ First They are not experienced… Second The Christian positions are not progressive… Third These positions are in no way related to human merit… Fourth Every position is eternal by its very nature… Fifth These positions are known only through a divine revelation… From Salvation: God's Marvelous Work of Grace by Lewis Sperry Chafer “They defy human imagination, and since they cannot be experienced their reality can be entered into only by believing the Word of God.”

  17. Key points on the law • Scripture speaks of the law in two primary forms: the Mosaic Law and the general principle of law as a standard of life and conduct. • Though free from the principle of law-works in terms of God’s provision in spirituality and walk with Him, we find that we are not without law in the sense of being under obligation unto true righteousness. • Law-works was never the basis of salvation in God’s plan.

  18. Free from the law Romans 7:1-12 – We have died to the law in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3 – We have had the veil of blindness to the way of true righteousness removed in Christ. Galatians 3:19-29 – We have been tutored by the law to faith in Christ. Colossians 2:6-23 – We have died to the basic principles of the world in Christ.
