    • Use truncated Gaussian weight for gridding

Aquarius SSS Products

  • Continue pulling mapped daily, 7 day and monthly L3 data products from PODAAC ftp site to STAR SSS processing server rhw1003.

    • PODAAC data has 30-40 day latency.

  • L3 data converted from HDF5 to CoastWatch HDF, geotiff and png browsing images and posted on CoastWatch/OceanWatch website

  • In October 2013, NOAA binned 7day and monthly data in NetCDF 3 and geotiffformat, as well as png browsing images will be posted on CoastWatch/OceanWatch website

  • Relatively low number of accesses by US and international users

    • US users including NOAA, UMBC, and some unknown entity

    • International users from Germany, Netherland, Turkey, China, Indian, South Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, and Portugal (new user in August ).
