Ratios and Rates for Gourmet Cookies

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, I will be able to use all four language domains to communicate the academic math language of rates and ratios to solve real-world problems using models of tables, tape diagrams and double number lines. I know I got it when I can accuratelycomplete at least 3 out the 4 real world problems from the stations with my partners. Academic Math Language Vocabulary: model, rate, ratio, table, tape diagram, double number line.

Center Work: • Students are to: • Read over the directions and problem(s) at each station. • With your group, you will answer the problem(s) on your recording sheet • When the teacher tells you to, you will move to the next station and follow the directions.
