Equally Well contains 28 key recommendations grouped under the following areas: • Early Years and Young People • Tackling Poverty and Increasing Employment • Physical Environments and Transport • Harms to Health and Well Being: Alcohol, Drugs and Violence • Health and Well Being • Delivering Change The Angus Single Outcome Agreement identifies a number of outcomes, measures and actions associated with each of these areas across the 15 National Outcomes

Early Years and Young People • National Outcome 5: Our children have the best start to life and are ready to succeed • Angus Outcome: Children and young people enjoy the highest attainable standards of physical and mental health • Key Actions: Service mapping and needs assessment of mental health and well being in children and young people in Angus

  4. Tackling Poverty and Increasing Employment • National Outcome 2: We realise our full economic potential with more and better employment opportunities for our people • Angus Outcome: Angus residents are equipped for employment • Angus Measure: Number of vulnerable adults supported into employment, education, training and employment • Key Actions: Carved Jobs for people with Learning disabilities, Services to support people with mental health problems access and sustain employment

Physical Environments and Transport • National Outcome 9: We live our lives safe from crime, disorder and danger • Angus Outcome: Communities in Angus are safe, secure and vibrant • Angus Measure: Number of recorded domestic violence incidents • Key Actions: Angus Partnership on Domestic Abuse (APODA – www.apoda.org.uk)

Harms to Health and Well Being: Alcohol, Drugs and Violence • National Outcome 6: We live longer, healthier lives • Angus Outcome: Reduce the harm caused by the misuse of drugs and alcohol and improve the quality of life in Angus • Angus Measure: Number of adults reporting they drink more than the recommended weekly limit • Key Actions: Focus on Alcohol Project, DAAT Corporate Action Plan

  7. Health and Well being • National Outcome 6: We live longer, healthier lives • Angus Outcome: The health of the Angus Population is improved • Angus Measures: Number of suicides per 10,000, Number of mental health admissions • Key Actions: Angus Choose Life Strategy, Angus Health Improvement Plan and Action Plan

  8. Angus Health Improvement Plan Local Health Improvement Priorities are: • Mental Health and Wellbeing • Sexual Health • Obesity and Physical Activity • Alcohol • Smoking and Tobacco Control • Dental Health The Health Improvement Plan clearly identifies the linkage between theses priorities, the Angus Single Outcome Agreement and the HEAT targets

  9. Delivering Change Key instruments for delivering change include: • Angus Health Improvement Plan and Action Plan • Integrated Health Improvement Team • Care Group Strategies and Local Improvement Targets • Integrated Children's Services Plan • Focus on Alcohol • The Angus SOA
