First Paddle of the year 2008 • Johnson Falls Flowage (Landing #14-Peshtigo River) – Sunday, April 6 (others were invited the night before, but declined) • Temp 45º, about an hour on water • Participants (in solo kayaks): • Lonny Jackson • Mike Shores • Photographer snapped photos of the participants before they left home. • Water was open; had to walk through snow to get to the water. They paddled upstream to the dam, then downstream a ways before returning. Paddling Friends

  3. Notice that Lonny has a new Subaru Forester, just like the Shores’ (but much younger). Lonny was showing Mike his new GPS unit. We learned that to bring up the Shores’ home (near Crooked Lake) on the map, we need to specify the address as “Mountain”, when it really is “Crivitz”. Paddling Friends
