Introduction to Nithin Kantharaj • Nithin Kantharaj has graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. • He is quite good at working with design and simulation tools like SIMU, AutoCAD, ANSYS, Unigraphics NX, and Catia and is currently working for a leading medical technology company. • He believes that a great score during his MS in industrial engineering landed him in this role as a manufacturing engineer.

  3. Nithin’s Experience Working for Zimmer Biomet Nithin Kantharaj considers himself lucky that he had the opportunity of working with this company. He worked on a number of things including: • Developing a wide variety of manufacturing processes for new products • Establishing preliminary Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routers in Oracle JD Edwards • Creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Developing protocols for Gage R&R studies • Capability analysis using Minitab • Reporting results of studies to qualify measurement methods and manufacturing processes

Nithin’s Life Before he Joined Zimmer Biomet • Before Nithin Kantharaj started working as a full-time professional, he worked as an intern for a number of reputed firms. • He was a student intern with UT Southwestern, Dallas and worked on self-management for diabetes using quality improvement and worked as a quality control/improvement trainee with Magod Laser Machining Private Limited, Bangalore. • He also worked as a quality control intern for a company called Ultra Weld Engineers in Bangalore.

  5. Nithin’s Educational Background • Nithin completed his graduation from the PES Institute of Technology in India. • He attended the University of Texas for his MS in industrial engineering.
