  2. Management of Traffic and Energy for a Motorway/Tunnels link- Belgium • Short description The goal is to manage traffic and energy of a road link nearby LIEGE. The infrastructure includes tunnels, intersections, bridges. The global project is divided in different items : • video and access control, fire detection, energy distribution, lighting, ventilation, management of traffic and dynamic road signs Schneider electric has won the “management of traffic and dynamic road signs” part. • Global Schneider equipment list • 80 (40+40) Premium Warm Standby • plus around 30 TSX Premium and 250 TSX Micro

  3. System architecture • Main structure description : • Central management functions of traffic, energy and maintenance are done by PCs equipment (WHIST system). • The WHIST system is linked, via redundant TCP-IP networks, to the automation batches (lighting, signs, fire detection,…). • Each batch and geographical zone has is own redundant concentrator (Premium Warm Standby). • Then redundant fieldbuses (FipIO with OZD) link the concentrators and the field cabinets. • Each field cabinet contents one or several Micro or Premium for local control and commands.
