  2. What is HeLa cell • HeLa cell:HeLa cell is derived from cervial cancer cells taken from a woman named Henrietta Lacks. • HeLa cells have been transformed by human papillomavirus 18 (HPV 18).

  3. Human PapillomaViruses • Human PapillomaViruses人類乳突狀病毒: 約有100種類型已被科學家鑑定,大部分無害,一些種類可以引起手部或足部的皮膚疣。 • Cervical cancer:約有30種類型經親蜜接觸傳播後,某些引起生殖器長疣,而其他的引起子宮頸癌。

  4. Human PapillomaViruses • HPV contain oncogenes that code for proteins called E7 and E6. • E7 binds to and inactivates the Rb protein. • E6 binds to the p53 protein and targets it for destruction.

  8. 討論 • 這部分實驗主要以計數細胞及生長曲線為主,雖然不需高超的技術但卻是一項基本的工夫,在做的過程中,可能一整天都待在實驗室。可見得做實驗除了細心外,耐心也很重要。本次的實驗中有幾點需要討論的地方,第一、就是時間點沒有取好,有一些點太接近的了,不具代表性,圖畫出來也不好看。第二、從曲線圖的生長速率中,細胞雖進入了 log phase,但是生長速率卻有很大的變動,可能當初分盤時,每盤細胞數沒有一致。第三、細胞生長曲線圖沒有 lag phase,細胞種的太多。經過這次的實驗,相信對往後計數細胞的步驟會更加有經驗及熟練。
