  1. 2011 ROCKET SCIENCE SPORTS LONG COURSE SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPINVITATION

Introduction • Rocket Science Sports is proud to launch its first annual 2011 Rocket Science Sports Long Course Swim Championship which will take place on the 3rd and 4th of December 2011, in Shanghai, China. It will be the largest swimming event held in China for international schools in the Asia Pacific region.

  3. Introduction • This premier event is coordinated jointly with Shanghai Hero Sports Management Company, the organization that put together the 2011 FINA World Championships along with FINIS Inc. and Rocket Science Sports Ltd., world-wide leaders in design and manufacturing of high performance training tools and swimwear.  

  4. Venue • The event will be held at the fantastic venue of Oriental Land in Shanghai, near the historic outskirts of the city. This facility is used as a training ground for Olympic athletes and offers world-class facilities.

Venue • The competition will take place in the 50 meter pool with a constant depth of 2.5 meters. • During the competition we will have a 25m pool available for swimmers to warm-up and cool down in for the duration of the competition. • Timing will be supervised by professional referees and facilitated with a use of an electronic timing system.

  7. Venue • The competition will follow FINA rules and regulations assuring a fair and friendly environment for all swimmers participating in the event. • Full cafeteria services will be available during the competition. • We all hope that you can join us this December in Shanghai for the premier of this event.

  9. Team Invitation • We are pleased to invite your swim team, to our first annual 2011 Rocket Science Sports Championship swim meet to be held in Shanghai, China. If you decide to accept our invitation, please send us an estimate of the number of swimmers attending by sending the REGISTRATION FORM (attached) back to us no later than November 11th, 2011.

  10. Team Invitation • Invitations have been sent to swim clubs/international schools in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and China. Please refer to the event list and meet details for more information. • The minimum age for entry is 6 years of age, and there is an upper age limit of 19 years of age (as of the day of competition).

  11. Team Invitation • All entries must reach us by the 11th of November 2011. • If the number of entrants exceeds the maximum slots available before this date we may elect to accept entries on a first come first serve basis. • Entries fees should accompany the entry forms. The entry fees can be paid in U.S. dollars or Chinese Yuan (RMB). (Payment & Bank Information Attached)
