  3. An Introduction “News That Matters Not”: a news satire and social commentary website based in India. One of the oldest of all such popular websites in India, which still exist very actively. Publishes sarcasm, criticism, satire and the like, usually in the form of humorous news parody.

  4. Some Key Points Targets the media, politics, life, society, etc. Known best for its work based on criticism of education policies of India, and insightful social satire aimed at awareness. Founded in 2009, NTMN is a students-run venture, going strong with new contributors willing to use the platform to express, and growing fanbase of 10000+ Facebook fans.

  5. Mission Statement/Vision • To inspirechange through written humour. • To brings to light discrepancies in life and governance in a developing society, through crisp writing. • To use creative skills, mostly satirical, to express thoughts. • To point out the obvious through satire, which makes people laugh, and realise the pitfalls of the society (and its people) at the same time.

  6. Market Summary and Feasibility Study • News satire — an emerging trend in Indian online social media, as youth get closer to wit and humour. • Aims to get the youth closer to purposeful wit and satire, which makes them more aware and sensitive towards issues. • More and more people are turning to online sources for more reasons than ever imagined before, thus promising more exposure.

  7. Important Goals & Opportunities To become a full-fledged alternative media website with more interesting sections, designed in innovative ways, to serve our purpose. To transform into a print publication in order to extend the market to people who don't use the internet. We wish to conduct seminars and workshops in schools and colleges to recruit new talent.

  8. Important Goals & Opportunities Currently limited to literary methods; in due course, we wish to associate with NGOs and social organizations to bring our motives into practical light. Will help us sustain longer and in a more satisfying manner, while serving the society. Offer opportunity to youth to be part of a literary revolution, where satire becomes an important tool to influence an inspirational “youth wave”.

  9. Business Concept and Competition • Currently web-based. A successful execution over the last two years, now one of the best-known news satire websites in India. • Competition: Faking News (fakingnews.com): Our USP over other competitors — We use methods beyond fake news as well, while writing satire. We have very frequent serious opinion-making and criticism, which provokes thought. NTMN’s motives are more social, than achieving literary or satirical genius.
