Co-ordinates. Co-ordinates tell us where a point is on a grid. y. First we look at how far ACROSS the grid the point is, this is on the horizontal axis. 4. x. V E R T I C A L. 2 Across. 3. Then we look at how far up the point is, this is on the vertical axis. 2. 4 up. 1. x. 0.
