  1. Boosted Ttbar Resonance Search Update Ken Johns, Venkat Kaushik, Finn O’Grady, Sam Silva, Jason Veatch (U. Arizona)

  2. Status • Continued work on cut flows • Updated expected ttbar and W+jets events with different b-tagging algorithms • Posted/will post numbers Sarah requested with ele SF, muo SF, LAr hole separately for full ttbar sample • Do boosted ttbar D3PD’s have 10x less statistics than resolved? • Would still like to do expected background comparison (shown last week) with some groups • QCD estimate in e+jets done

  3. B-tag Study • Expected number of events for 1fb-1

  4. Status • Systematics for limit setting • D4PD’s produced for • JES • Lepton trigger, ID, reco, p/E scale, p/E resolution • ISR/FSR • Parton shower/fragmentation • Still to make • JER, BJES • b-tagging • MC generator • Pileup

  5. ttbar Reconstruction (Zp) • Shown before but beginning to collect plots for the note

  6. ttbar Reconstruction (Zp)

  7. ttbar Reconstruction (KKg)

  8. ttbar Reconstruction (KKg)

  9. Upcoming Week • QCD estimate for muons • Limit setting for statistical only and partial systematics • Need remaining Zp and KKg D3PD’s to be produced (if not existing)

  10. Observed versus Expected (1.04 fb-1) • No b-tag with all SF, etc.

  11. Observed versus Expected (1.04 fb-1) • b-tag (SV0) with all SF, etc.
