In essence – students volunteer in school and work alongside teachers in the class room during the spring term. • working with a group of pupils on a specific project • providing in-class support with IT work • helping out with drama productions in the classroom • helping pupils with basic numeracy • helping teachers organise displays of pupils’ work • listening to pupils read and helping them with basic literacy skills

SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES PROGRAMME2009/10 INDUCTION EVENING (Primary) What happens next? • Meet your link teacher! • Arrange and attend initial meeting in school for the whole group before 18th December (end of school term) • Elect a representative for your school group – details to Claire this evening • Initial meeting – take Spring timetable, ask about the school, the classes, the children, topics, preparation…please us know when this has happened.
