  2. The History of Logging • Loggers came to the Amazon in the 1960s. • They would cut down trees so that the valuable trees could be used for paper and wooden furniture.

  3. Land Use • To be able to log in the Amazon you must be licensed, and you can only log in designated areas. However a lot of people log illegally. • Ibamais Brazil’s environmentalist group that got a lot of illegal loggers arrested. • The land use is a conflict in which many people will not be happy so its really going to be a hard decision on deciding the land use.
