Mission The CIM Users Group is dedicated to managing and communicating issues concerning the TC57 IEC 61970 and 61968 standards and to serving as the primary means for developing consensus and consistency across the industry. CIMug Activities • Provide liaison with other standards groups and assess the impact of other standards on the form, scope and content of the CIM • Provide a central Repository for CIM issues, models, messages, and expertise • Promote the CIM, GID and other IEC TC57 standards • Provide a single point of contact for CIM Model Management and issue resolution. • Provide awareness of CIM products and implementations • Provide a Help Desk

Technical Working Groups Oversight - Ed Dobrowolski The Technical Working Groups perform specific tasks of common interest to both the CIMug as a whole and to the individual members of the groups. Generally, they meet at each of the general meetings but they also do work between meetings via e-mail and conference calls. CIMug Technical Working Group Functions • TBD Interoperability Vendor Co-Chair: Margaret Goodrich Utility Co-Chair : Vacant Methods & Tools for Enterprise Integration Vendor Co-Chair: Alan McMorran Utility Co-Chair : Cyril Effantin The scope of this working group is: Promote understanding and implementation of CIM UML modeling and message exchange; Exchange best practices when implementing CIM for EA); Support collaboration and awareness of methodologies for the derivation of messages; and Support collaboration and awareness of various tools. Model Exchange Vendor Co-Chair: Jay Briiton Utility Co-Chair : Vacant TF scope covers the use of CIM standards for exchange of power system modeling information among participants in interconnected transmission grids. Also serves as liaisons to NERC & ENTSO-E (formerly UCTE).

CIM Model Manager Lars-Ola Osterlund • Manages CIM Model Releases • Manages CIM Model Issues List (with on-line submittal for new issues) • Provides clarifications as needed • Reports status at industry and CIMug meetings • Responsible for overall CIMug member help desk satisfaction. • Develops ways to leverages CIMug site capabilities, web conferencing capabilities, etc. to educate • Recruits CIM Experts to answer questions • Monitors aging of service requests and takes action on behalf of CIMug members • Promotes building a knowledge base that is accessible and useable by CIMug members Help DeskVacant CIM Service Desk Representative Tony Adams • Manages help desk requests that are strictly CIM-related (not website-related issues and not CIM Model issues) • Stays familiar with all published CIM model resources and connects with CIM experts CIMug Help Desk Functions Experts See List… List of Experts • Volunteers that are available to accept and respond to CIMug member help requests. • Monitors each assigned service request until customer is satisfied. Knowledge Manager Vacant • Monitors closed service requests • Maintains the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list • Develops Knowledge Base (KB) articles that summarize key topics in more depth • Monitors site search capabilities and ensures that material can be found easily by members Content Manager Vacant • Maintains a list of site content, with intended security levels • Works with IEC TC57 WG leaders so all drafts are available to CIMug members • Monitors secure content to ensure security is not compromised • Manages archival of dated information

UCA Kay Clinard • Budgets and spends operating budget for: • Booths at industry events • Email list management and conference management software • Contractors for marketing and communications services Marketing Ralph Mackiewicz • Develops UCA marketing collateral, signage, etc. • Ensures that CIMug and other groups are aligned with UCA marketing messages and collateral. • Responsible for the CIM Users Group marketing and communications budget. • Sets annual goals for marketing and communications, in concert with UCAIug • Oversees all marketing collateral and formal member communications • Initiates and manages outreach to potential CIMug members • Monitors member retention and recommends adjustments to CIM Process WG. CIMug Marketing Functions Marketing Margaret Goodrich Marketing Vacant * • Executes marketing plan, including creating or updating marketing material • Coordinates marketing messages at industry shows (through UCA-sponsored booths, meetings, technical presentations, or other activities) • Ensures material about CIMug is readily available through the website • Develops member communication program to complement marketing activities. These may include regular updates, newsletters, etc. • Maintains email lists for CIMug members; updates list with conference attendees. • Organizes content and manages webinars or other interactive outreach, together with working group leads. UCA Kay Clinard • Budgets and spends operating budget for: • Server hosting • Web conference services • Contractors for technical services Site Services Kay Clinard CIMug Tech Support Functions Tech SupportVacant • Responsible for the overall technical platform, both current and future. • Manages help desk requests that are strictly CIM-related (not website-related) • Develops CIM web site improvement projects • Monitors site usage patterns with Google Analytics • Promotes UCA CoLab to identify key future improvements, coordinating with OpenSG and other UCA groups • Ensures the web site platform meets CIMug business requirements • Budgets appropriately to support growth of CIMug and other UCA groups • Processes on-line payments from CIMug meeting attendees Site Help Tony Adams* • Manages help desk requests that are website-related • PM and Business Analyst role for CIM web site improvement projects • Weekly meetings with Site Services to ensure progress Site Testing Tony Adams* • Has testing accounts set up for quick use. • Tests resolved technical issues before requesting customer approval • Tests web site improvements before general release Site Services Chris Regan* • Administers web servers, Sharepoint servers, domains, backups • Develops code for new site features • General software maintenance tasks (patches, license renewals, upgrades, etc.) Site Content Dan Jablonski* • Converts webinar content to videos for user training purposes • Adapts video player webparts for use on the UCAIug training site • General site configuration tasks (setting up pages, adding content, testing performance, etc.) Site Admin Kay Clinard • Manages all site user accounts through the Forms-Based Authentication (FBA) tool • Resolves password issues for users Admin for Other Apps (Webconf, GroupMail) Kay Clinard • Manages all user accounts and lists for web conferencing, groupmail/listserv, or other services • Resolves password issues for users * Contractor

UCA Kay Clinard • Budgets and spends operating budget for: • Facilities for meetings of CIMug and other UCA groups • Catering costs for meetings • Contractors for meeting planning Meeting Services Kay Clinard • Ensures that a payment engine is available for payment of meeting attendance and vendor booth registration fees • Helps resolve issues that arise during pre-registration and on-site registration • Reviews invoices and issues payment to caterers or other meeting service vendors CIMug Meeting Planning Functions Meetings Robin Pitts • Plans CIM Users Group meetings, including site selection, recruitment of site sponsors, facility coordination, etc. • Attends meeting and coordinates onsite registration. • Coordinates technical tours or other onsite activities. • Reports regularly to Process WG on progress and issues. • Recommends improvements to the meeting planning process.
