Let’s Get Started • Find out if the name you want to use for your business is available* Register your business/non-profit name online at https://www.incauthority.com • For all your Legal, business needs, check out Legal Zoom at https://www.legalzoom.com/business/business-formation . Identify your target audience . Decided what you need to charge for your time, books and materials . Start looking up places you would like to talk to and start finding out who you need to talk to. . Start networking with other child serving organizations in your area. Even if they aren’t interested in your help, show up to things that they sponsor, if possible. . Be Confident! You are offering a service and should be paid for your time!

  3. Do Not Be Afraid to Charge! People have more of a since of ownership with paying, even a small amount! Start building a scholarship fund, if possible To make scholarships go further, do not give full scholarships, offer half instead

  4. What Do You Need To Charge? • Find other people in your area who are D2L facilitators. • Ask them what they charge • Ask about Grants in your area • Cost of Workbooks • Printing of Inserts • Pens/pencils, paper • Cost of printing Certificates and paper • What is Your Time Worth! Stick to it!

  7. What Are the Places You Would Like to Contact? • Don’t be afraid of cold-calling! - Ask who you would talk to about providing a child sexual abuse class. Or try to get in with the top person, if possible! - Don’t Give Up! - Call At Least 3 Times! - Consider a discount - Only if it is a non-profit
