  3. North Africa • Get help from Soviet Union and China • Led by Dwight Eisenhower • Get back N. Africa and then go on to Italy and Rome • Italians liberated proceeded to kill Mussolini • MUSSOLINI IS KILLED BY OWN PEOPLE!!

Turning Point of the War • Pushing Germany out of Soviet Union • Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk • Extremely violent • Hitler’s attempt of conquering Soviet Union had failed • Hitler and Germany attacked at this time because they heard it was supposed to be a mild winter in Russia (wore summer uniforms); turned out being one of the coldest
