Conflict “Tell me what I should do Caspian, I don’t know who this guy was, or how involved he might have been with what happened.”(336) Abbey and her new boyfriend, Caspian, got into an argument over what happened to her best friend. She didn’t know her best friend had a secret boyfriend. And she wasn’t sure if he was involved with the passing of Kristen.

  4. “The pathway along the graveyard turned slick with water and mud, and it splashed along the bottom of my jeans and shoes as I walked.” (17) Abbey is walking through the cemetery to see her best friend, Kristen, who has recently passed away.
