  2. Purpose: An electronic processing system for all designations, redesignations and annual reports It Promotes: • Faster communication • Standardization of information • Saving time and money • Automatic reminders and • Eliminates paper, printing, copying, mailing and scanning

  3. Who will use it? • PAHO or WHO technical officers responsible for initiating collaboration • The Technical counterpart (PAHO or WHO) • Heads/contact person of the Centers • PAHO/WHO Administrative staff

  4. How Do You Access the System? • Password protected for each user • from any computer… • at any time • user contact info generated from global database • Different levels of access

  5. Will the process change? • First steps made simpler • Responsible PAHO/WHO officer initiates the process • No more guessing: - What comes next? - Who needs to take action? - Which form do we use? - When does the designation expire? • No more memos, scanning, filing

  6. When will you use eCC?For submitting all annual reports • Automated message requests your annual report one year from the date of designation • A very short form will be attached • Complete the form in English and submit • If reports are not received via the system, the designation cannot be renewed

  7. …and redesignations • When? Six months prior to expiration • Who initiates? PAHO/WHO responsible officers • What? Consultation/Review of annual reports and programmed priorities and activities • How? Automated e-mail from the eCC invites you to complete redesignation form

Recommendations Check contact information in the global database for your center Inform your responsible officer of any changes Know the expiration date for your center’s designation Send annual reports on the electronic form when provided by e-mail request Discuss possible renewal six months before the designation expires

Information Resource: www.bireme.br/whocc/ • Click on Full Database Search • Under criteria search: select city, head/director of center, institution, etc. • Under search value: type in the name • Click on search to find your center • Click on details (on the right) to view all your contact information • Click on feedback (on homepage of this website) to send corrections to PAHO/WHO

  10. Summary • Correct contact information in the global database is essential • Annual reports due every anniversary of designation (date on official letter) • No more paper documents will be accepted
