Why? • What other songs do you know that respond to intolerance, prejudice and racism? • Homework: Artists, songwriters and writers have vocally and creatively responded to political and social events in history. • F ind a photo or visual representation of a historically famous example of intolerance or prejudice. -Create a 10 point fact file on this moment. Include points that answer these trigger questions: what is the photo or visual about? Who is in the visual? What are the people in the photo or visual doing? Why was the photo or drawing taken or created? By whom? When was the photo or visual made? • Find and download a song, poem, novel or artwork that responds to a time or specific event in history that centres around the theme of racism and prejudice. Present your findings to the class in a two minute presentation.
